 Intelligent Fiber Optic Systems Corporation (IFOS) develops innovative fiber optic sensing solutions for condition monitoring of crucial assets deployed from lithosphere to thermosphere and beyond. For examples of our work, please see the Industry Solutions page.IFOS is seeking a talented and motivated software developer to modernize the software controlling our existing set of optical measurement devices, and to enhance this software for new projects. The software will initially focus on Windows deployment (both GUI and control). Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve software
  • Work with engineering team to complete specific projects with tight deadlines and specific deliverables
  • Integrate with optical and electronic analog/digital hardware design via team work

Requirements:

  • BS degree in computer science or related engineering disciplines
  • Experience with Windows C/C++ GUI
  • Knowledge of hardware interfacing (e.g., data acquisition boards, firmware, etc)
  • Some experience with LabVIEW, and general familiarity with MATLAB and MathCad
  • Experience with high-speed, high-volume data acquisition data analysis and processing
  • General awareness of laser optics
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in spoken and written English
